Completed Building Permit applications must be submitted with two sets of drawings and plot plan. The review process will be approximately three to five days depending on the type of application. Some Commercial permits will require more time. The applicant will be notified when permit is ready to be picked up. Payment is required at the time the application is dropped off.

All questions regarding Permits and Fire Prevention Activities should be directed to Todd VanZuyen, Fire Inspector at 636-745-2262 between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm Monday through Friday.

Inspections

Inspections for New Construction will consist of a Rough-In (Open wall) and a Final Inspection.

Occupancy Inspections should be conducted for owners or tenants to occupy or re-occupy existing commercial spaces or to newly constructed spaces. Please check with the cities or the counties for any additional permits required to be issued.

All inspections will be scheduled a minimum of one day in advance. To schedule an inspection contact 636-745-2262 with the permit number, address, and contact name and number. Also have the date of the inspection and Open Wall or Final needed, and whether you would like it scheduled morning or afternoon.
