We actively pursue grant opportunities and have applied for over 100 grants since 2009, totaling more than $8 million. Through these efforts, we have successfully secured over $2.2 million in funding.

While grants are an important part of our funding strategy, they often cover only specific projects or needs and are not guaranteed.

 

The scale of the necessary upgrades outlined in Proposition F—such as replacing Firehouse #1 and remodeling Firehouse #3—requires a stable and substantial funding source that grants alone cannot provide.

 

We want to assure you that we will continue to actively apply for grants to support our initiatives and complement the funding from Proposition F.
